Three week late Christmas cards are finally being delivered. Brighton resident Jim May thinks he has been sent the county’s latest seasonal greeting after receiving a Christmas card yesterday. His belated delivery follows a catalogue of slow service from the Royal Mail. Mr May of Tivoli Crescent North, Brighton, said: “I have only just received one Christmas card. It was posted on December 10 in Canada, but even though it has come a long way this is unacceptable.
“I had one Christmas card postmarked December 16 in Shropshire that arrived on January 7. Another one that also arrived on January 7 had been posted at Gatwick on December 21. “I am pleased that The Argus is highlighting the appalling service that the people of Brighton have been enduring from the Post Office delivery service over the last month."The Royal Mail apologised to customers who had experienced delays and said they were hoping to introduce “changes to improve the service” at the North Road collection office.
